First responders
What I can help with:
Processing acute stress from work-related incidents
Complex vicarious trauma from years of work experiences
Guilt and undue responsibility for work incidents
Increasing resiliency for your present and future as a first responder
How I can help
I am certified in EMDR and have training in additional techniques to help relieve stress quickly, whether these events are recent or old.
Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing is an evidence-based intervention to remove the physiological and emotional impacts of adverse or traumatic experiences and replace any negative beliefs about yourself with healthier thoughts.
I am certified in Trauma-Sensitive Yoga, which can help the body feel relaxed and release tension from work-related stress.
What is EMDR?
EMDR is a form of exposure and desensitization that helps to remove trauma responses such as hypervigilance and physical stress responses in the body.
EMDR consists of 8 phases of treatment that address distress in the past, present, and future.

Cost
I accept most major insurance providers, and the cost of your sessions depends on the plan you have chosen. Iām happy to help you understand what to expect for cost so that you do not have to. Please reach out to me for a sliding-scale option if you do not have insurance.
If you are in the Central Virginia Area, you may already qualify for 6 free sessions through Impact Living Services, for which I also provide therapy. Please let me know if this is the case.
